Plastic Design, Inc. is a leader in the field of plastic
fabrication and engineering, and this quality is evident in our line of
desiccators. Desiccators are designed to preserve moisture
sensitive material in an environment that is free of particulate
contaminants and/or humidity. Our storage desiccators are designed using the
latest in CAD/CAM machine technology so that they can be readily customized
to each customers unique requirements.
 Construction
of a desiccators starts with material selection, which is based on the items
being stored in the cabinet. Materials can range from Clear Acrylic, UV
shielding amber acrylic, Static Dissipative and Fire retardant materials,
and can even include a radiation blocking option. The next step is to
determine the size that is necessary for youre application (refer to the
chart below for standard sizes, or contact us for a custom sizes).
Finally, determine what options are require.
Our desiccators come with many standard features. Each unit is set up
with a Nitrogen/CDA feed point that is directed into a plenum manifold for
optimal gas distribution. Our cabinets are fitted with an Automatic
Pressure Purge for customer and product safety, and the doors are sealed to
prevent particle infiltration. All cabinet hardware is stainless steel.
If you have special needs, Plastic Design, Inc. will design and fabricate
custom desiccators to meet any customer requirements, with attention to
quality and quick turn around.
